Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO IF AN UNFORESEEN INJURY OCCURS?
A: Your son is playing baseball and is hit in the mouth with
a ball. Your daughter is playing basketball and is "elbowed" in the
mouth. You have a car accident with trauma to the mouth. It is very
important that the advice of a dentist should be sought any time there
is an injury to the teeth or mouth. Unlike a chipped or cracked tooth,
some dental injuries are not obvious.
Trauma to the mouth may not be visible, but still could result in the
loss of a tooth. It is important to check with a dentist as soon as
possible after any oral injury.
